Florentijn Degroote has been working on modeling energy since 2018 as a machine learning engineer and co-founded Powernaut in 2023 spacialising in orchestration software for decentralized energy systems.
Under his leadership, Powernaut has operationalised an AI-driven platform that enables energy suppliers to connect, optimise and manage flexible energy devices such as solar panels, batteries, and electric vehicles. This is a key component in many retailer’s innovative product and service strategies.
By partnering with industry leaders, Powernaut is now managing over 200MW of decentralized energy assets, equivalent to powering approximately 40,000 homes.
